At last, a PPM solution for Spektrum users. PPM allows full 8 channel communication over 3 wires (power, ground, signal). This gives a very clean setup and frees up the pins on your Naze flight control board so they can be reassigned to other things like GPS, OSD, telemetry etc. Also features configurable failsafe.

Up to this point we've had the Orange Rx with 6 channel PPM, which is adequate but the extra channels are nice to have for controlling flight modes, buzzer and other features. There's also the satellite option, which is gives 7 channels but uses one of the serial ports needed for some of those other things (GPS, OSD etc).

This is a full range receiver that will allow an addtional DSMX satellite for diversity and address any concerns over the RF transparency of carbon fiber frames. By placing the satellite in a different location you can ensure maximum range in any orientation. Please note there are no traditional PWM (analog) outputs on this receiver - it is PPM only.

Channel mapping is TAER1234 (same as Spektrum). Here's the mapping of aux channels from a DX8 to a Naze control board
gear-->Aux1
Aux1-->Aux2
Aux2-->Aux3
Aux3-->Aux4

Specs
25x35x7mm
weighs only 2.8g
operating voltage 3.45 - 7.2v
Comes with bind plug and double sided tape for installation, Be careful with carbon fiber frames to ensure the pins on the bottom of the rx are not making contact with t/he electrically conductive frame.

Failsafe
A failsafe position can be set in the even the rx loses contact with the transmitter (but still has power).. You choose the stick and switch positions you want and set those in the rx. If you don't set a failsafe, everything will remain as it was when you lost communication. i.e. if you were in forward flight or ascending rapidly, it will continue to do so until the link is restored.

To set failsafe, plug in bind plug, provide power, set transmitter sticks and switches to desired positions and press the failsafe button. The green LED will light up indicating failsafe has been set. Remove bind plug. The green LED will remain on, indicating a failsafe value has been set.
To disable failsafe simply rebind without pressing the failsafe button. The green LED will no longer be lit.
